Scottish Highlands Group Accommodation

The Scottish Highlands are known for their hospitality, breath-taking scenery, and romance.  What better way to experience the history, wildlife, and majestic surroundings than to enjoy it with a group?  The hospitable Scottish Highlands are a warm and welcoming location for your group holiday.  Weddings, family reunions, hen and stag nights, youth groups—any kind of group travel can easily be accommodated in the Highlands.  As well, the types of accommodation for large groups are virtually limitless.  Whether you are looking for that luxury holiday or wedding venue, or travelling on the cheap, you can find the perfect accommodation for your group.
Scottish Highland group accommodation ranges from large cottages and lodges all the way up to exclusive-use country manors and castles.  As well, group accommodation can take the form of several small chalets, lodges, or even tee-pees in a holiday park.  Your group stay is often enhanced with additional options such as group activities at or near your accommodation—archery, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, high ropes courses, cycling, kayaking, climbing, and the like—and special facilities meeting the needs of larger groups, like picnic pavilions, meeting rooms, dining halls, and spas or gymnasiums.  Great group accommodation is also often located nearby to activity centres and leisure centres.
When considering what type of accommodation best meets the needs for your particular group, remember that there are an abundance of choices here in the Scottish Highlands.  Apartments, bed and breakfasts, and guesthouses are usually more than happy to cater for smaller groups, and you will have the advantage of your host’s local knowledge for your exploration of the area.  For those travelling with groups of backpackers, youth, or just budget-conscious folk, you may wish to consider bunkhouses and hostels.  Of course, country houses, mansions, and villas are excellent accommodation for a luxury holiday, a wedding, or an elaborate family get-together.  The Scottish Highlands also offer a range of outdoor centres and activity centres which provide accommodation for groups who are looking for an active holiday or perhaps some team building.  Groups of cottages, ski chalets, or small lodges may be the right mix of privacy and communal travel for adults visiting to take in the Highland sights.  Needless to say, an exclusive-use castle is the crème de la crème of luxury accommodation in the Scottish Highlands and is sure to impress your group and provide them with memories for a lifetime.  Scottish Highland castle accommodation can also welcome smaller groups who are happy to share the venue with others.  Finally, groups who enjoy roughing it will find an endless array of campsites and caravan parks, many providing static caravans which may be rented for the duration of your holiday.  Whatever type of accommodation you need for your group, it is available in the Scottish Highlands
As you prepare to book your group accommodation, don’t forget the many types of activities which are perfectly suited to group holidays.  Whether you are looking for an active, on-the-go vacation or a relaxing spa holiday, you can find the right mix of accommodation and activity for your group.  Gorge walking, hiking, backpacking, and cycling are excellent activities for groups, and you may wish to book a variety of types of accommodation as your group progresses throughout the Scottish Highlands.  Alternative therapy and spa vacations are quite popular in the Scottish Highlands, and a large range of accommodation can be found centered around this type of activity.  Golfers can look forward to some of the best courses in the world here in the Scottish Highlands, and many courses offer group rates in their hotels and apartments.  Of course, sporting estates and lodges are excellent group venues for country sports like fishing, clay pigeon shooting, and horse riding.  Pony trekking outings are often arranged for groups of all sizes and ages, and you can enjoy a variety of accommodation along with it, including bothys, campsites, bed and breakfasts, and small hotels.
The possibilities for group accommodation in the Scottish Highlands are endless, and virtually all of them will work with you to find the right mix of relaxation and activity for your group.  When booking your group, discuss with the accommodation any special needs you may have.  As well, find out in advance about any deposits or fees that may be required to accommodate a group.  Finally, remember that unless you are booking exclusive use, you may be sharing your accommodation with others.  Polite and courteous travelers are happy travelers, all around!
