Here at Waters Edge, our aim is always to ensure that each and every day is very special for everyone. Attention to detail is very important to us, we are enthusiastic about what we do and giving our guests the best we can comes at the top of our list of priorities for each and every day you are staying here with us. Water's Edge is a truly beautiful house in the most enviable position, very close to the sea shore, from all rooms there are breathtaking views over the sea. A garden path goes down to a pebble beach, lapped by the clear waters of the Moray Firth, it is idyllic.... truly a once discovered, never forgotten place to stay. The sitting room has a charm all of its own, the antique furnishings hand in hand with flowers gathered from our garden, give a wonderful feeling of comfort and calm. The old brass and copper sparkles round the inglenook fireplace, when the crackling log fire is blazing it is especially cosy. We have many interesting books to read, if you can play the piano we will enjoy listening, as we miss the old familiar tones, our daughter played constantly, she has left home now and we do not hear her play as much as we would like. Just sitting doing nothing much at all, well this is the perfect place to be, during your time staying here with us at Water's Edge. French doors lead from the sitting room to a secluded courtyard, with a wildlife pond, apple trees and numerous garden birds, a tranquil relaxing place to enjoy a glass of wine or two on a summer evening. Since we moved to this lovely house we planned on having a small gym and for 2010 we are hoping it will be complete, along with a small library. Breakfast is a delicious delight each morning, we use as much organic and local produce as we can find and offer many choices for you to enjoy at the table looking out over the sea. Dolphins and otters are often seen by our guests from the picture window during breakfast , it is always very exciting when they are spotted swimming in the sea at the bottom of the garden.
Our three double bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms each with a bath and power shower offer pure luxury....wonderfully comfy beds, the finest one hundred per cent Egyptian cotton linen, soft sparkling white towels and the fluffiest bathrobes we could find. Each bedroom has a large terrace, you can open the French doors and let the sunshine in. The spectacular view over the sea and the hills towards Culloden is magnificent, dolphins are often seen from the bedroom terrace looking out towards Chanonry Point. To experience seeing ships and boats sailing to and fro in Fortrose bay on their way to Inverness harbour is a constant interest. Yachts from the sailing club at the harbour which can be seen from the house, are whisked along on breezy days. When the moon is shining on the water and the stars are shining it is a wonderful scene to cherish and warms your heart. Drift off to sleep when the night is tranquilly calm hearing the waves gently lapping on the beach. We promise everyone a genuine warm welcome and Scottish hospitality at its very best... peace, relaxation and warmth. Water's Edge is special and here for you to come and enjoy. We would love to welcome you to stay for just as long as you wish sharing all the wonderful things we enjoy about living here.... It is truly special and spectacular..
